Backed by HF0 in San Francisco — one of the world’s most selective accelerators (0.04% acceptance rate), Rebld is building the AI Assistant for the Home.
This is not a chatbot. It’s a true autonomous agent that executes multi-step workflows across voice, text, and connected systems. We’re hiring a Senior Engineer to architect and build the core runtime powering voice-first, autonomous agents.
This is a foundational role focused on execution frameworks, orchestration, real-time systems, and production reliability.
You will design and ship the agent systems that turn intent into reliable execution. This is a hands-on, foundational engineering role. You will work directly on the runtime, orchestration layer, and realtime voice stack. Strong preference for candidates in San Francisco.
Multi-step task planning and execution (plan → act → verify → recover)
Tool routing and workflow state machines
Deterministic + LLM hybrid control loops
Context management and long-lived memory
Guardrails for safe, reliable autonomy
We are building a realtime, interruptible, low-latency voice-native assistant. You will work on:
Streaming speech-to-agent pipelines
Interruptibility + conversational continuation
Sub-500ms agent response loops
LiveKit / WebRTC-based realtime infrastructure
Voice AI integrations (STT, TTS, turn detection, VAD)
Latency optimization across the full stack
We’re looking for a senior engineer who ships fast, operates independently, and prefers building foundational systems over polishing surface details. You have deep backend and realtime experience (ideally voice AI and LiveKit), have built agentic workflows or orchestration layers, think clearly about execution models and distributed state, and bring strong product judgment for reliability and usability; experience with LLM tool calling, structured outputs, event-driven architectures, and early-stage startups is a plus.
